Organize Your Makeup

With my ever growing makeup collection, I have had to come up with better ways to organize and make space for everything. I wish I could have a whole room dedicated to all my makeup, but a girl can  dream right? So since I have to utilize the space I already have, I think I have found a good way to organize it all and I have LOVED it! I find I use it more when its more accessible and neat. It also didn't cost very much at all! Much cheaper then a Beauty Box and with way more room! So here are some tips and tricks on how I have set my vanity up!
  1. I have a lot of eyeshadow pallets and these were the hardest to organize. I was looking at somethings for my work desk and saw this file folder and thought it would work perfect! I works so well and I do love it, the only problem is I need another one already. It doesn't store a ton, but if you just have a couple you want to store then this will be perfect! I am still trying to find the best thing for me, but for now this is working perfect!
  2. For almost everything else, I bought these drawers.. I know there are a lot. I originally bought a 5 drawer and a 3 drawer, and it was fine, as long as I didn't buy anymore makeup! I needed more room so I decided to buy another 5 drawer and take the 3 drawer back… and as you can see that did not happen! I just stacked them so now I have 13 drawers… I have a problem, I know! But these drawers are awesome and good quality, and you can find them at almost any store! I have a drawer for everything and it makes products so much easier to find!
  3. On top of the drawers I keep my brushes in a cup I got in the office supply section! I am sure you could find something cuter, but I liked this and it matched my black drawers. Pretty soon I will probably get another so I can separate my face and eye brushes, but I like having them in this little cup! I also keep my MAC Fix+ and Tarte Maracuja Serum up there too!
  4. Now I have somewhat of an addiction to lip products, and I know they sell lipstick holders, which I would love, but I would need quite a few and I don't have room for all that, so I bought a candy jar and filled it with all my lip pies and I think it is so cute! They are all different colors and shapes that it is really like a makeup junkies candy! So its not completely organized, but I like them and think its adorable!
So thats it, that my makeup organization! I hope you guys got some ideas, and if you have and ideas or cool ways you organize your own makeup, let me know! I would love to hear them!

Makeup Haul

Hey everyone! Hoping you guys are all having a lovely weekend! Mine has been quiet and peaceful, my favorite! I did do a little shopping last night though. I went to the store for some body wash and came home with no body wash and lots of makeup… story of my life! Some of my favorite videos on Youtube to watch are makeup hauls! While I don't go drop $600 at Sephora like those people, I have been known to do some damage occasionally! So I thought it would be fun to share a few of the products I have recently purchased and give you my thoughts! So here we go :)
  • Hask Argan Oil Damage Repair Shampoo and Conditioner: HOLY FREAKING CANNOLI. I got a sample of this in an Ulta package, and it made my hair feel soooooo amazing. There was only enough for one use and I was so sad! I didn't want to wash my hair cause I knew it would not feel the same once I washed it! But I saw it at the store and had to buy some! If you see it, grab it, you won't regret it!
  • Wet & Wild Bronzer in Ticket to Brazil: I went looking for Reserve Your Cabana, but it was so light! I could not have used it as a bronzer, so I grabbed this and love it! For the price, it can't be beat.
  • Urban Decay Primer Potion: I have heard amazing things about this stuff, as I am sure everyone else has too. However, I am in loved with my MAC paint pot so it will be hard to change my mind but we will see! I will let you know how it goes!
  • Ardell Natural Lashes in 110: If you guys have wanted to try false lashes but are too scared, try Ardell! They are so easy to use and they are amazing quality for such a good price. I have not tried these ones, I usually use the Demi 120, but I have heard great things about these so I am anxious to give them a try!
  • Loreal Voluminous Smoldering Liner: I am a pencil liner girl, and this liner has rave reviews! It looks a little intimidating because the pencil is huge. But if you tight line, you guys need this in your life. It is very pigmented and lasts all day!
  • Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Primrose: I love natural pink lipsticks and this one is a classic, but every time I go to the store it is sold out! I guess that is a good sign but I have wanted it for son long! I finally got my hands on one and I am so excited to use it! Its a gorgeous everyday pink that would look good on any skin tone!
  • L.A. Girl Lip Paint in Elude: I have also been looking for these lip paints everywhere! I can only ever find them online and I wanted to be able to really see them and swatch them before I bought one, but I found them at a store and was so happy! I got a very neutral pinky nude shade and it is gorgeous and HIGH SHINE! It smells good and is not sticky. If you see these, do yourself a favor and buy every color they have!
  • Prestige Lip Liner in Baby: I have never tried these lip liners, and to be honest I am not sure why I got this haha. Things tend to show up in my basket that I don't remember grabbing, but I love the color and this will look good with both the lip products I got so its all good!
  • Maybelline Pumped Up! Colossal Mascara: I had a free mascara coupon so I grabbed this one to try! I have been on a high end mascara kick, so I am anxious to see if I like this as much! Ill keep you guys posted!
  • Fruit of the Earth Spray Lotion: I love the idea of this product! I use thick body butters after I shower at night, but I just want something lightweight and clean smelling in the morning. I got the baby lotion scent and I like it! It dries quirky and is not greasy at all. The smell is a little strong so if you don't like the smell of babies then get a different scent!
  • Wet & Wild Mega Last Nail Laquer: I have been doing gel nails so long, my nails are falling apart, so I needed some cute new nail polishes. These are from the new Spring collection and I am in love! The grayish one is "A Latte Love" and the pink nude one is "A Stream of Consciousness". They are so cute and if you have not used these polishes, your missing out! They last so long and they have a special brush that makes painting your nails so easy!!
Whew! That was a lot! Thanks for sticking with me guys! I love finding new products to try out so if you have something your loving then comment below!

#FitFabFridays

Okay, I knew when I started that I would want to incorporate fitness into my blog somehow. I have really struggled with my weight the last few years and a few weeks ago my mom and I decided to do Weight Watchers together! Now I even have some friends and family members doing it with me. I have lost 5 pounds so far and I am excited to see what happens the next few months! So I thought what better way then to have a day dedicated to fitness on my blog! I am no professional at all, but I love to cook and find healthy recipes, and I am constantly stalking Pinterest and fitness websites for fun workouts and ways to stay in shape! So I am thinking that some Fridays will be dedicated to this.

So for my first #FitFabFriday, I would like to share a yummy healthy recipe and a fun workout challenge I have been doing the last couple days! This recipe is easy and I usually make it Sunday night and make enough for my lunches each day! It has been so helpful and a huge money saver to have pre-made healthy lunches for the week!

All I do is thaw out a chicken breast, one for each day, and season it however you like. I just do salt, pepper and seasoning salt. I cook them in a own with a small amount of oil. I also cook rice. I love rice, and instead of cooking it in plain water, I like to cook it in chicken broth. That makes the rice have a little more flavor! It tastes great! Then I cook a veggie, I usually do frozen broccoli or cauliflower and just cook it in a small pot with a little water and salt and pepper. Its so easy, and maybe takes 30 min to make a weeks worth of lunches!

So if your curious on Weight Watchers points, here they are:
Chicken Breasts - 3 or 4 pts depending on the size
30 Day Ab & Squat Challenge #30dayabchallenge #30daysquatchallenge #springintoshapeRice - 5 pts for one cup (you could also use quinoa or brown rice)
Veggies -  almost all are zero points so load up!

Here is the workout challenge I have been doing. I just do it in the morning when I wake up and it has helped to get me up and going in the morning…which is not an easy task!

Thanks for reading and leave me comments of your fav healthy snacks or fitness tips! I would love to hear them!

Cleaning Makeup Brushes

Hey everybody! Hope you are all doing well! I am hoping to get on here more often and I have lots of fun (or at least I think they are fun) ideas of posts and things to do with my blog! I am excited!

So I thought I would do this first post about cleaning your makeup brushes. It wasn't until I was really into makeup that I even started cleaning my brushes, eww gross I know! But it just wasn't something I had ever thought of. But when I started doing it I noticed a difference. My brushes were lasting longer and I was not breaking out as much! Especially now that I have bought nicer brushes, I want to take good care of them!

I have tried a million and one ways to clean my brushes. I have done homemade techniques and I have bought brush cleaners. I think I have finally found the best way to clean them! I use a face wash! If it cleans the makeup off my face, it can clean the makeup off my brushes right? I just use whatever cheap gel cleanser I can find, it is usually this Clean & Clear basic wash. I also use a conditioner, whatever I have on hand, and rubbing alcohol.

1. Fill a bowl with hot water, and pump a small amount of soap on a plate. I also add a capful of the rubbing alcohol to the soap.
2. Dip your brushes in the hot water then swirl them around the plate and really get the soap in the brushes. Dip them back in the water to get a little of the soap off. (We will really rinse them off later)
** You will want to change out water and the soap on your plate once or twice to make sure your not putting your brushes in too dirty of soap and water. I usually do my eye brushes first, get new soap and water, then do face brushes.
3. Once you have done all your brushes, I put a little conditioner on a plate a dip the brushes in a small amount of conditioner then swirl it on my hand then REALLY rinse the brushes out. You want to make sure you get all of the soap out of your brushes!
4. Get as much of the excess water out of them as you can and lay them out to dry. It usually takes mine overnight to dry.

I would try to wash your brushes a few times a month. It may seem like a lot but it will make a big difference! Hope you all enjoy! Let me know your fav ways to clean your brushes! I love trying new techniques!
